Total Annihilation: Kingdoms Cheat Codes
Kingdoms uses the same system as Total Annihilation, with commands typed into the chat box that start with +. The tables cover version 3.0 and The Iron Plague, and every entry was checked against the game's own command table.
How to Enter a Cheat
- Press Enter to open the chat box.
- Type the code, for example
+atm, and press Enter again.
Cheats work only when the Power Codes game option is ticked. This applies in skirmish too, unlike Total Annihilation. Cheats never work in the campaign. Keyboard shortcuts can also run these commands, under the same rules. The code you type is sent to the other players as chat; the cheat itself runs only on your computer.
The Cheat Codes
| Code | What it does |
|---|---|
+atm |
Fills your mana to the top of your storage. Total Annihilation's +atm adds a fixed amount instead. |
+manaMe |
Fills the personal mana of the units you have selected. |
+nowisee |
Turns off line of sight and mapping: you see the whole map. |
+los |
Turns line of sight on or off (+los On, +los Off). |
+mapping |
Turns the unexplored cover on or off. |
+radar |
The minimap shows every unit. |
+view N |
Watch the game as player N. |
+doubleshot |
Every hit does double damage. |
+halfshot |
Every hit does half damage. Unlike Total Annihilation, turning one of these two on turns the other off. |
+makeposter |
Saves a very large screenshot. |
Unlocking Every Mission
Type wasabi on the campaign book screen, where you choose a mission, to unlock every mission of the campaign.
Developer Mode
Kingdoms has developer commands, but how you reach them depends on your version.
- Kingdoms 3.0: the passphrase
+Kingdoms fire joy frozen bluefire reloadtimecannot work, because of a mistake in the game: it expects five words and then checks for a sixth. The only way in is a registry setting that the game reads at start-up. - The Iron Plague: the shorter
+Kingdoms fire joyworks. The capitals must be exactly as shown.
Developer mode turns cheats on, and adds commands such as these:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
+kill [N] |
Destroys every unit, or player N's, and turns off the victory conditions. |
+iwin / +ilose |
Ends the mission as a win or a loss. |
+control N |
You take over player N. |
+nomana |
Drains the mana of the units you have selected. |
+damage |
Turns all weapon damage off, and on again. |
+vet, +vetmul, +vetmax |
Change the veteran level of the units you have selected. |
+unitname |
Typing a unit's name creates that unit. |
Commands That Are Not Cheats
These work in every game:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
+clock |
Shows the game clock. |
+noshake |
Stops explosions shaking the screen. Saved. |
+showblood |
Turns blood effects on or off. |
+shootall |
Your units also fire at targets they normally ignore. |
+givemana N amount |
Gives player N some of your mana. |
+sharemanalimit, +sharemanapct |
Set how much mana is shared with allies automatically. |
+bigbrother |
The camera follows idle units in turn. |
+drop |
Turns dropping stalled players on or off. |
+quit |
Leaves the game. |
Typing +showframerate or +showprofile anywhere, even outside the chat box, shows the frame rate or a performance overlay.
